Location and arrival: how to get to the Mesnhöf Mountain Inn

If you are coming from Germany, travel south towards Italy via Munich, Rosenheim and Innsbruck. Take the Brenner motorway A22 to the Bressanone/Val Pusteria exit. Continue until you reach Brunico. From there, turn into the Valle Aurina and stay on this road until you reach Lutago. Once there, turn left in the village centre (tourist office and Eurospar Hopfgartner) towards Rio Bianco. From there it’s only about 6km to the church in Rio Bianco (the road takes you up to 1340 metres – note in winter that you ideally drive with winter tyres and carry at least snow chains). Above the church you will find our small inn.

A train journey from Germany will take you via Munich, Innsbruck and the Brenner Pass to Fortezza. Here you change to the Pustertaler train and travel to Brunico. From Brunico you take the bus to the Valle Aurina as far as Campo Tures (450 Campo Tures – Valle Aurina). Here you change for the last time to line 454 to Rio Bianco. Once there, get off at the church. After 220m walk you will reach our inn above the church.
 

A train journey from the south of Italy takes you via Bologna, Verona and Trento to Bolzano and on towards Fortezza. Here you change to the Pustertaler Bahn and travel to Brunico. From Brunico you take the bus line to the Ahrntal Valley until Campo Tures (450 Campo Tures – Valle Aurinal). Here you change for the last time to the 454 line to Rio Bianco. Once there, get off at the church. After 220m walk you will reach our inn above the church.
